T O P I C R E V I E WSilverFeatherDo you think they are truly accurate ?I don't know, I think I don't anymore. I've dated a guy whom I had a bad synastry and composite with but out of all the guys I dated, he was the only one who truly loved me and he was there for me when I needed him the most. He changed a lot after our break-up, we are currently still friends.I had an almost "perfect" synastry with another ex but that one turned to be the most terrible of all my relationships. What do u think guys ? What's your experience with this ?CeridwenMy experience is that what people call bad synastry, I wouldn`t see the same way, and vice versa.Oh and that the progressed charts ply a very important role in what is being actively expressed from the whole chart. Let`s say there is a beautiful Moon-Venus-conjunction, if nothing triggers it, it will ust not play that much of a role (Though the good feelings might still remain underneath). Another experience:people react differently to transits. For me MErcury-transits are more important than they seem for other people, if they are exact at least. Mercury rules my 7th house. Ye another experience:Without studying the natls before, the listing of synastry aspects is practically worthless. Overriding factors nevertheless in synastry charts, are conjunctions to the angles (and also the nodal axis) - those are the ones that come really forefront. and if they are triggered by an outer planetary transit (I suppose even progressed charts need to be woken up by transits), they might be so dominant that nothing else really matters anymore. And of course they also highlight all the other aspects the planet on the angle has. Just some observations I made. starmoonI think they are very accurate, but they cannot account for the personal, everyday, environmental and human factors that get in the way. Synastry/composites are on paper and we live in real life, with things that influence us daily, and those things cannot be accounted for in the chart. I've had 'perfect' synastry too, and I'm still single, so what happened? Life got in the way - my bf had a change in preferences, I decided to move, etc. and so on. we make life decisions that change the course of the synastry. It doesn't mean synastry is inaccurate, just that it cannot account for the fluidity of life because, as only a paper chart, it's static and not dynamic. It's only a guide map, not a definitive answer.Kerosenedepends people are still themselves in relationships...No matter how nice the synastry still does not change the fact they are who they are lol.SilverFeather quote:Originally posted by Ceridwen:My experience is that what people call bad synastry, I wouldn`t see the same way, and vice versa.Oh and that the progressed charts ply a very important role in what is being actively expressed from the whole chart. Lotis WhitePeople usually think of 'bad' synastry as squares and oppositions, and 'good' synastry as trines and sextiles. But it's not necessarily that simple.Depending on our charts and how they are set up, it may actually be part of our taste to have certain hard aspects in synastry. Or hard aspects might actually work well within the context of certain parts of our charts. This common if we have hard aspects in our own chart. Lets say we have Venus square Mars... A person could have a soft aspect to our Mars and a hard aspect to our Venus with their Mars, and this might work great in that synastry. Whereas a different person might such a harsh aspect to our Venus intolerable. Then we have to take personal priorities into consideration. People prioritize different harmonizes depending on their preferences. If you're looking for someone who almost never disagrees with you intellectually, you might want strong Mercury harmony. If you don't mind the occasional debate, hard Mercury synastry might not phase you. Those were just examples, but hopefully you get can see the crux of what I'm getting at.geea quote:Originally posted by Kerosene:depends people are still themselves in relationships...No matter how nice the synastry still does not change the fact they are who they are lol.i agree too, some truly never change, theyre still the same ol jelly lil wasps
